Spacious rooms at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort are furnished with modern Thai decor.     Riverside seating. Tom yum soups are unusual (lots of dill) but excellent. Deep fried fish in jungle curry also excellent. As usual, the English menu is not the full menu, so don't limit yourself.

    At Chiang Saen the golden triangle pointview is a must. Take a boat and drive to the borders of Myanmar and Laos. Ask for a stop at the market of the other side of the river in Laos.
